Here is day one of attempting to build a stock for my cz 452 scout. Working on the inlet so that i have a program for it and it can be repeatable no matter what style of stock i build now or wish to build in the future :bthumb:

Yeah its not prefect but it is a work in progress and im learning alot from my wife's dad. He has a shop in his back yard and is retired so he is all for helping/teaching me stuff. its alot of fun.

I will continue updating this Thread on the progress.

First cut of the day!!!! Man i was excited i have been wanting to do this for SO LONG.

Man technology sure makes life a lot easier.

I made two stocks in shop class in HS. Pretty well took me the full year for each of my junior and senior years to get them done.

Of course there was no C N C anything in those days just basic tools like a drill press, planer, table saw and chisels.

You're getting the same amount of work done in an hour it took me weeks or months to do HA!

I imagine in did take longer. Especially when all of your blueprints had to be chiseled into stone. I bet papyrus just blew your mind away! :D

Btw. That stock is looking great. Keep us posted!

I'd like to watch that machine for a bit, it looks interesting. Veddy interestingk.
I use a bandsaw, rasp, chisels and a dremel tool. Not sure how well it would work for say, a shotgun or 2-piece singleshot receiver inletting, but it does have possibilities.
