trijicon accu point 5-20

Anyone had experience with these? I looked at them and the are extremely clear and appear to be very well made. All the reviews on planet optics are very positive but looking for some specifics from LRH members. I more then likely won't use it past 800 yards. I have a chance to pick one up with the mil dot reticle like new for $650 (I think they sell new for about $1050) I think I'm going to snag it unless I hear something different here. I have a buddy that has one on a 308 in the 2.5-10 and he loves it after 3 seasons.....

Hey fellow members.

I was at my local gunstore here in Denmark today, and had a look at this magnificant tool.
But here it cost close to 1600usd, (hackled even.....)

What is your opinion after all this time? is it worth the money, and where can I find it for 650usd?

Good choice, for 650, it is hard to beat. I used it on a night time hog hunt with lighted feeders. Where some other scopes worked great during the day, they lost the edges at night when there was a feeder light on in the field of view. The good glass combined with the low light of the glowing dot on the Trijicon was perfect for this. (of course thermal or night vision would have been nice )

Yep I bought the used one and liked it so well I ended up buying another one. The clarity has been great expecially in low light. My only dislike is how bulk the mil reticle is, the lines and dots are pretty thick but I will say they are easier to see in lowlight so I guess it is a trade off. It works great for a hunting scope for sure!

I would also like a different reticle. I would like to keep the glowing dot in the middle, with the reticle starting half mil out, and continuing with an alternate half or smaller mil hash marks as well as thinner reticles.

I will say I think the illumination is perfect. Some of the other scopes have it WAY too bright for low light use. The little glowing dot is great in low light.

New rifle- Sendero in 300 Win Mag with Trijicon AccuPoint 5-20x50. Still sorting out handload, but took 4x5 whitail buck at 471 yards last week easy as pie. Good scope. Trying to find ballistic turret for it, but so far no luck. One in good condition for 650 is a great deal.
