Pulled some bullets using wire cutters and press. So bullets were scared with wire cutter marks,do you think that destroys bullet accuracy ? I was thinking once it makes its trip down the bbl the scars are smoothed out by the rifling ?

You won't be able to hit the barn door with them!!

I would throw them away.

You needed to have used this puller:

It's on sale at Impact Bullet Puller
for 11 bucks or so.

There are many other types of bullet pullers but more expensive. The one above is the one
I use.

Those inertia hammers are junk. You have to pad the inside so the bullet doesn't deform.
On a crimped light bullet you will beat through the basement floor. Get the Hornady
cam puller and never look back.

The one I have is already padded and has never deformed any of my bullets since ever...
I have never used them on crimped ammo. No experience there, other wise they work
just perfect for me.

WARNING, from personal experience.

Don't use the inertia hammer type with primers that bounce due to very loose primer pockets.

Whacked the concrete floor, the primer ignited on the second whack. flew around the shop bouncing off of more things than one would thing. The 99 grains of US-896 didn't ignite.

Whackin' hammer impact immediately went into the trash barrel.

Also I think I'll retire my brass a few shots earlier.

For you guys with the inertia hammers - Get a short piece of 2X6 pine board and pound on that. Never had any luck pounding on something concrete hard.

That's a good advice. I use a thick carpet on concrete and do the whacking on the carpet;
as stated before, 2 whacks and it's out.

Roy, my brain ain't working, how did the primer ignite without igniting the powder? OK, it
ignited after it flew out of the primer pocket and you scared the garbage out of it because you continued whacking anyways... Right? :D
