What caliber of bighorn? I am sitting on the side lines this year as I shot one last year. What do you have to offer?????

on 2nd thought i don't wanna give up me sheep spots, ive put to much work into finding spots, just to go n show new people them, sorry i made the offer

Are you talking about a Hunter Host allocation or have you got Outfitter allocations. It is against the law in Alberta to trade something of value for a hunter host big game allocation. In fact falsafing the affidavit on the hunter host application is a felony.
Is this offer legit or a set up by the Alberta Dept of Fish and Game?

This Thread is for Hunter Host or Outfitters. Trading a hunt of one animal for another is not legal, there is no $ trading hands. Big Horn Sheep is a very hard hunt, and for me to take someone to shoot a ram, for them to take me to shoot an average white tail, or bull elk, (something i can do on my own, forget it) there is nothing legal about my post. I am not Alberta Dept of Fish and Game. I think you should pull your head out your *** Nat Lambeth.
I will not trade a Ram hunt with anyone from Alberta, because I have put to much work into finding my spots, but I will trade with someone from BC for a Stone or Dall

I dont know about Canada but here in the States Illegal means against the law and Legal means its Ok. Maybe its the Metric system of Legality. If not, that is the funniest **** I've read in a long time..

I hunt in Alberta. Alberta has some of the strictest rules and laws as they relate to non residents and non resident aliens. There hunting rules and regulations clearly state a non resident and a non resident alien must hunt big game with an outfitter or on a Hunter host license. Outfitters buy their allocations and rarely give them up for free.

Hunter host can not receive any compensation from a guest hunter. The hunter host license allows for two big game species excluding sheep and grizzly. Both the host and guest have to sign a notorized statement that no compensation is being given for the license. A hunter host and non resident guest can only legally obtain a hunter host license every 3 years.

I know two Americans who went to Alberta and got caught violating the Alberta law. They harvested two deer ileaglly and returned home (US). The U.S. Fish and Game (Federal) showed up at their homes with a search warrant and seized the deer(s) on a Lacy Act Violation. The plea bargan offered to these men was to return to Alberta and face charges there or face a Lacy Act Violation in the US. The chose to return to Alberta and plead guilty to making false statements to the government. This was a felony, they spent 24 hours in jail and paid a $40,000.00 fine each. They also lost their hunting privledge in Alberta for 3 years.

My suggestion for anyone hiunting out of state or out of country is to follow the law to the letter. A simple misdemeanor in one country can quickly become a felony here in the US. A Lacy Act violation is no laughing matter. (Look it up)

Len allows us to use his website for no charge. I know he does not want to be associated with anything that has any stinch of a law violation here or abroad.
I don't think he would approve of nasty insults either.

My post was to get more information so I could make an informed decision about further inquiry.
