7mm-08 Velosity

Can you guys tell me what velosity I should be running with a 150 gr. Swift SII and 45.5 gr. of H4350 in my 7mm-08 22 inch barrel (norma brass and CCI BR primers)? I have not had a chance to run it thru a cgraph and I'm leaving to go on a hunt Friday.

You should be somewhere around 2700 ft/sec.

Thanks man,

I'll run my numbers on 2700 and should be close. I'm not going to take any really long shots till I get to run it over a cgraph. This bullet powder combo shoots pretty darn good.

If you are not going to take any long shots, you don't need to know velocity. If you use a drop chart, you are planning to take a long shot. Can't have it both ways. Do the job right, and shoot the rifle enough to know. 300yds or less doesn't need numbers.
