Do you all think that this is ready for out to 700 yards? I've have shot groups out to 500 with 3.5" groups.

You're shooting well under MOA at 500 so the rifle is certainly capable. Now it's just a matter of marksmanship on your part and of course getting your drop and wind right.

Range it, dope it, dial it, breathe, hold, squeeze the trigger, watch bullet strike target threw scope!

Actually exhale slowly and naturally and relax.
Time your squeeze for the shot to go off when you hit that max relax point in the exhale.
That point is somewhere between half and 3/4 of the way through exhaling.

Rifle by itself looks like its ready to shoot a mile!! gun) Anything under MOA in real hunting conditions to me says let the lead fly. If the lead aint flying he aint dieing!! (After you get as close to the animal as possible) If its 1000yds think about what 1MOA is---- 10" if its a deer that could spell disaster. Just something to think about

Had a good weekend, Hunter has taken his 3rd deer this year. He shot this little buck Saturday morning at about 7:30am at 80yards or so with my 308, he hit it good and it went about 30 yards and piled up. Saturday evening we had 3 does come into the field about 30 minutes before dark. I was manning the gun first, they were about 350 yards away and I didn't feel good at that far with the wind howling. They closed the distance to about 279 yard and I dialed the scope up 3 moa and let it rip she dropped in her tracks. Then the other doe ran closer and I let Hunter take a 175 yard shot on one and he dropped her where she stood. No good bucks this weekend but the freezer is full.

That is a super badass stand you have there. I would recommend you had a table of some sort so that you can deploy your bipod and have a rear bag rest. The way you are shooting now leaves the rear of the gun unstable. By fully stabilizing the gun, Hunter will be more comfortable taking longer shots.

Yeah I know our shots were not long range by this sites standards but it's our farthest yet. If I build a bench in there, then there would not be a place in that field that the deer would be safe.

Longrange is however far you determine is longrange for you. I just want you to have the tools and knowledge to be able to maximize your potential. A shooting bench in THAT stand would be awesome!

The deer load is:
165gr Accubond
46gr Varget
Win brass and primer
MV 2750
It's not a .5 moa load from my gun but it's what I used for short notice. 3 shots equaled 3 deer. I can usaully get 1 moa from them.
The target load is:
168gr Sierra HPBT Matchking
47gr varget
Win brass and primer
MV 2750
This is much more predictable and accurate, .5 moa usually.
Do you guys have a bullet/powder recommendation I should try that may be as accurate as the sierras for hunting?
