300 ultra mag loads

New to the forum and must say I really like this web sight. VERY beneficial to anyone that wants to long range hunt or just shoot for that matter. Heres my ? I just recently purchased a Remington 700 sendaro in 300 ultra mag. I am wanting to work a load up to hunt whitetails with I have a few 800 yd shots over some of our half cut corn fields. Can anyone help me with a load that has a similar setup? Thank you in advance.

Go buy a box of the remington factory premier full power loads with the 180gr Scirocco II bullets and see how they shoot for you.

If they do then pick your favorite large magnum power like RL-25 (93-94gr), H-1000 (93-95gr) or Retumbo (99-102.5gr).

Another very good high BC hunting bullett in that range is the Hornady in either Interbond or SST.

Should be great on deer to 1000 and more than adequate on even Elk out to 800yds.

Always safest to start about 1gr below what's recommended and work your way up evaluating for accuracy, speed, and of course pressure signs.

Best to go ahead make sure it's free floated and properly bedded before starting to work up an accuracy load.

I like the 200 geain accubond with around 90 gr of h1000.

my exact gun likes 95 grains of re22 under a 150 grain ttsx barnes. Been all the way out to 1000. less than 3 inch group. Shot the 180 scirroccos remington load 1/2 moa.

I am shooting the 190 bergers over 95g of H1000 and it seems to be giving good results.

I have the 300 RUM Sendero my best load is sub .25 with 94gr RL-25 and 185gr Bergers

That is very impressive! My RUM won't shoot like that, but at this point I have to stick with the magazine max OAL and cant get anywhere near the lands for load development.

89gr of RL22 and a 180 Partition here. 1/2 MOA seated to function in the magazine.

I dont a gun that shoots that cartridge, but my uncle owns a Weatherby that shoots 300 Win. Ultra Mag. and he is a big guy and with no muzzle break he was pushed back pretty hard. So thats a example of the power this round had!
