Guys, had a customer send me his rifle that he wants me to try to sell for him to fund another rifle project. The rifle proved to be a bit more powerful then he needs for the vast majority of his shooting and hunting so he wants to build something a bit smaller. I tested the rifle before I shipped it to him and again when I got it back and it shot very well both times.

I believe he has taken a few prairie dogs at ranges over 1000 yards with this rifle and it shot very well for me with taylored loads. Here are some pics.

This is a turn key set up ready to go and I have load data available with rifle as well that I used to test the rifle for accuracy. I tested the rifle when he asked me to sell so that I knew what it was capable of and it shot very well, still meeting my 1/2 moa accuracy requirement.

The seller also said that the final price is somewhat flexible so shoot him some offers. I do not know for sure if he will sell the rifle alone without optics but if someone does not want the scope and just rifle, I can pass that request on.

Also, the seller said he would be willing to get the rifle recoated and stock repainted if the white finish was a deal breaker for someone interested in the rifle. Please understand however that if you want the rifle color changed, he may not be QUITE so flexible on sell price so take that into consideration.

IF someone wants to keep the rifle as is, we will be sending the bolt off to get recoated in flat black for one reason, the white bolt just gets to looking pretty bad when the rifle is used at all with any lube on the bolt lugs getting onto the bolt body. The black bolt will look much better and still fit in with the snow camo pattern, especially with the black scope.

Just tell her that white coating and magazine box adds around $4000 to the total cost.

If your wife is like my wife, there is no point trying to fool them, I know my wife is far smarter then I am so its a waste of time trying to hide anything from her. For that matter, Bec knows more about long range rifles then most guys I know!!! LOL Hard not to pick it up when she is surrounded by it ALL THE TIME!!!

First time I took my wife & daughter into Northern Canada fishing I made 4 trips to Bass Pro buying everything we might need or want as there would be no shopping that trip. I tore up each receipt before I left the store.

When we returned my wife opened a letter from Bass Pro thanking me for being one of THEIR TOP 100 CUSTOMERS OF THE SUMMER! She said the letter left her with a feeling that this was good AND BAD news. She doesn't know what I spent, but she has ideas — and the ideas SUCK! Busted is busted!
