We have been testing them and I will have complete results soon. It looks good so far, weghts are good, consistency awesome. We are running them just over 3100 fps and shooting in the 3's easy enough. Still have to do BC and distance testing.

What are your thoughts on using them on game??
3100 fps - are you running them out of a 300 RUM or 300 WM?

After looking at the cross sections I think they will be a fine hunting bullet. We are running them out of a 1-10 30" hart chambered in 300 RUM.

For that bullet weight and barrel length, I would be looking at US869 and Retumbo. I use Retumbo to get 2900 with 240smk's in a 27.5" kreiger 300rum.

US 869 is not an extreme powder and Retumbo gave us the exact same velocity with wider ES so we settled on H1000. Also the group size was slightly better with the H1000.

I keep on hearing the same things about Retumbo and H1000. I'm about ready to try some H1000 in Kirby's 338AX (Lap Imp), instead of the Retumbo I've been using, and see what happens with the 300 Berger. Anybody tried that case, powder and bullet yet?
