i'm new to the forum and love the info everyone gives. i have shoot this gun (7mm300wby)since 1995 and love it it shots 1/2 groups at 300yds with nosler ab 140's. i was trying something new and wanted to use berger 140s but they keep tumbling at 100 yds has anybody had this problem. i shoot the ab at 3790 over a chrony at 50ft.the berger are a little faster at 3850. all presure is fine on both loads. the gun has a 28in douglas imp.1-9 twist, gentry muzzelbrake, a rem 700 action is free bored put on a axiom stock with alum. pillow bed and topped with a nikon monarch 8-32- 50mm.

I'll help, buy some 180 bergers and run them at about 3150. The 140 bergers are not tumbling, your riping them apart, the core is seperating from the jacket, they were designed to go through an 11 twist at 3300fps or less not a 9 twist at 3850. The accubonds you were shooting have a much thicker jacket and a bonded core. There is no need in a 9 twist unless your shooting 175-190grn bullets.

I missed those, I was aware if the late season predation hunts but not early season.
thanks!

they started the 15 of aug and there telling us that the 540 hunts are going to run till 15 of feb if they dont get the kill they want.i have a other friend that had signed up for 410 and he also got a letter for up there so headed there tomarrow early.there is a list on fwp web site with all the areas some up in the northwest too.
