Question from Eric Stecker of Berger Bullets
===============================

Berger's hunting bullets cost less than highly engineered, premium hunting bullets offered by other brands. Even though this is true, a box of Berger bullets will cost more because there is 100 bullets in our box compared to 50 bullets in theirs. We understand that many hunters don't shoot a lot of hunting bullets and that 100 bullets may be more than a hunter needs. For this reason we can understand if hunters would rather purchase 50 bullets instead of 100 regardless of the price per each bullet.

Poll Question:

If the cost of each bullet is exactly the same regardless of the pack count, as a hunter would you prefer to buy 50 hunting bullets at a time or 100 hunting bullets at a time?

100 For me, I usually have to pay shipping so it would hardly be worth it at 50. Can't
work up a load and have many left with that either. The poll won't let me vote, don't know why?

If buying locally there were times I wish I could just buy 50 to have a lower initial cost (easier to talk the wife into it), but if you're ordering online I'd just as soon buy 100 to save on shipping as someone else already mentioned.

What I would love to see are Berger trial packs where you could buy 20 bullets so you could try out 4 or 5 bullet weights to see how your gun likes them before you jump into buying a full box. I know that would have helped me when I was trying to find the bullet my gun would shoot best.

I tend to lean pretty much opposite of the above opinions. I wish Berger would offer an option of 500 per box. I've seen enough variance in different lot numbers that I don't care if they sit on my shelf for a while as long as I don't have to reinvent the wheel ever time I go to buy bullets.

If that isn't practical I will always buy boxes of 100.

Are you guys having trouble in answering the Poll?

I just fixed it, please try again.

Completely agree with the lonely man!

If I was so broke I could not buy more than a hundred, buying less than a hundred would be counterproductive due to Loner's explaining and more.

100 count box would be the way to go IMO

The poll won't let me vote either.

I didn't pick Len.
I like options. If it's a new bullet for me I like smaller amounts (maybe even a 25 box). If it's a proven bullet for me a 500 is good.
Thanks for asking
