I'm moving in 3 weeks and am forced to sell the pride and joy of my life. This hurts.

This is a Savage 12 F/TR in .308 that was purchased about 9 months ago. It has 145 rounds down the tube, and there's not a blemish on it anywhere.

It will shoot the 168gr FGMM almost in the same hole at 100yds, and if you're a reloader I have a load that will shoot 1" at 300yds.

The buyer will receive:

- Savage model 12 F/TR .308
- EGW 20moa base.
- 60pc Federal brass and 20pc Hornady Match brass, all fired once.

$900 shipped and insured. Will now separate gun and accessories for reasonable offers. Selling elsewhere also, and I anticipate it going fast. Cash or money order preferred.

Text or email. You can call, but I probably won't be available to talk. 224.688.8839 [email protected]

Re: Savage 12 F/TR .308

Went out today to shoot a group that I could post. Center filled dot is 1/2", center doughnut is 1". Group measured as maximum spread from center of bullets. Official measurement of 3 shot group is 0.297" at 100yds. Shot the one top right, made my adjustments, then shot 3 for a group.

Re: Savage 12 F/TR .308 *PRICE REDUCED*

Just crious what is the load recipe you have for that rifle

44.0gr IMR 4895
155.5gr Berger Full Bore
CCI 200 primers
Nosler Custom brass that was full length sized using standard RCBS full length die set.

Cases are at trim length and chamfered inside and out. Overall length is 3.273 on the lands using a micrometer and a hornady bullet comparetor with .30 cal tip. It is best just kissing the lands.

Kinda I pieced one together so I am working on a load right now

Try the heavier bullets (if you're ok with the added recoil). I mean, the fullbore load ain't bad by any standard, but that's the Palma load. Shooting FTR opens you up for a lot more possibilities. I picked up a few of the new Berger Tactical OTM 175gr, and they look extremely promising with a claimed g1bc of .510 and a g7bc of .259. Probably need a little more jump, though. And at 1000yds I think they'll stay straighter than the 155.5 Berger fullbore. But that's just my opinion. I didn't have a chance to develop a load with the 175's before I had to sell the gun. :( Life is such a dream crusher! LOL
