Just picked up my new Savage. It is a 110 FCP with HS precision stock chambered in 338LM. I'll get some pics up in the next couple days. It appears to have a flat rail, no cant to it. The magazine is an accurate-mag marked .338 LM (3.850) on the rear. I measured it with a tape (no mic) looks close to 3.75 COAL will go in the mag, but I'll do better tonight. I know I had a hard time finding any info on these guns, and a hard time getting a hold of one. If you have any questions, Ill try and answer them for ya. Ill eventually gets some pics up when everything starts coming together. I have a 20MOA EGW tactical rail for it. I was told after I bought it, the tactical would not hold up, I needed the EGW HD rail. Ill see if the EGW tactical even fits, and get a more stout rail on the way; EGW HD, Nightforce Ken F, Seekins...

The rail that comes stock on the 110 FCP is labeled "EGW SAV 110BA". The screws on the 110FCP are #8s not #6s. This is contrary to what I was told by Savage. The rail that comes on the 110FCP does not appear to have 20MOA. It is hard to tell without my mic. The front of both rails are the same height. The rear of the 20MOA rail that I purchased (labeled EGW SAV 110 LA 20MOA) appears to be taller than the factory rail. I have an email into EGW to ask about the factory rail. i'll keep you guys posted. I was told by EGW that their tactical rail would not hold up to the recoil of the 338LM. Their tactical rail is what comes factory on the Savage 110 FCP, in 338LM. I cannot comment on the factory rail of the 110BA, as I have never seen one.

Opposed to a standard savage 110, what differences are there in the action? What is the bolt diameter? What about the diameter of the action itself? And does it use a barrel nut (large/small shank)?

These really peaked my interest... Make sure you let us know how it shoots!

Just got off the phone with Savage. The guy who knows what rail is on the 110FCP HS precision won't be in untill Friday or Monday. Thats what I was told anyways, that I needed to talk to the engineer. It looks like a flat rail to me, but EGW says they only make 20MOA rail for Savage specs. I'll get my mic out for measurements and half way mount up the scope for pics. The screws on the rail don't seem to be very good. It felt like they were set with lok-tite. When I went to put them back in they seemed to gall or strip off the finish on the screws. The receiver looks fine, but the screws weren't. I didn't push it so I'll need to get some new screws

EGW told me thair rail that came from the factory is a 20MOA rail. I haven't bor sighted to check yet. I'm waiting for new screws for the rail. I'm also going to swap the steel rings for the allow, because i'm not going to use a steel rail.

I believe it is a large shank. The barrel nut measures 1.30"
The bolt diameter measure .695"
The lugs measure .987 perpendicular to the bore axis.
The action measure 1.350" in diameter.

The accu-trigger, at its lightest setting, breaks just over 1.5 lbs. (5 pulls 1-8 to 1-9) It isn't as consistant as some of my better triggers. It feels good, but not as good as my timney.

Here are some pics
It wears an IOR 6-24x56 MOA/MOA

good stuff...i have one ordered also, hopefully mine shows itself soon.

keep me posted on the base or please recommend one

Don't know how I forgot to measure the factory rail. It is NOT a 20moa base, as I was told by EGW. It is a flat Tactical rail with #8 holes. (standard is #6). I am ordering an HD rail (solid cross slots, stronger aluminum, and lower than a tactical, also more $$) tomorow from EGW. I should have enough clearance running low Valdada rings. They are .25 from the botom of the tube to the top of the rail.

I called and ordered one. Im not sure what what model number it was. They were going to drill #8 holes in one for me.

I have a NIB unfired 110 in .338LM available if you want one.

If you are interested, pm me your email, I'll send pics of the rifle and box label info. Mine has the 20 moa factory rail (I was told by the friend from whom I got the rifle).
