Foxpro VS Wildlife Tech

Having trouble picking one of these E callers. I know both have great reviews. (foxpro fury vs wildlife tech ma21) for calling yotes and bobcats.

Has anyone owned both of these calls or at least had some experience with both? Most important for me is sound quality, best coyote vocals, true cold weather warrior and overall ruggedness. Good chunck of money being spent here and just wanting some input. Not trying to start a ****ing match. My 4 year old son would win that

When it comes to sound quality and range the WT wins hands down, if you want cool features and easy sound changes then Fox Pro. We run the older unit but I guess the new on blows it's doors of which is hard to believe. A lot of the sounds come from this area, some of the videos are shot in sight of my window

I know of about a half dozen guys with the WT and all of them sold of Fox Pro's.

Boy did you just kick over a hornets nest. There seems to be diehards in both camps. Both are great units. WT used to have the edge on technology and sound, but that has all but disappeared with the newer models from Foxpro. I have hunted over a couple of the newer Foxpros and they are excellent. I ended up getting one of the older "K" models from WT. It wasn't that I felt it was better, but WT seemed to have more variety of digital sounds and I was able to work a better deal on price.

I know you didnt ask about the FP CS-24, but I have been extremly happy with mine. Ive never used a WT, but never even gave it a thought. You asked about quality of sound, cold weather, and rugedness. The CS 24 excells in all of these departments for me, and from most reviews I've read. I am definately not the cold weather tester. i have never used mine in anything below freezing. I'm sure the WT callers are great, but I have been more than satisfied with my CS-24.

One question to ask is what is popular in your area, if there are mostly FX then go WT and if the opposite then get the FX. You can call coyotes with poor sounds if they aren't what they've heard before, if you beat the same dead horse you don't get the fur. I'm going to have to make a big change I think this year due to a group of guys abusing the WT. I may have to resurrect the hand calls or just spot and stalk in my area this year or pull out the #3 Monties

I don't hunt that kinda good stuff Both will likely do good, the sound clarity and sounds over all are better with the WT, a good example is if you turn up the volume you don't loose call quality but you start hearing subtle sounds like quite growls after a bark or breathing. I call a lot with the volume way up here to beat the wind and the WT can get you more range. If you don't need big volume the clarity isn't as big an issue, I do like the way you can play with sounds with the FX and program a series, fade in and out, Fox Bang would be very cool!!! I'm fairly well spit on it!

Well boys, WT it is! Should be here next week. Had to go with the ma21. Mark was very helpful with the sound selection. Plays them on the phone for ya too...

I know bow season is around the corner but man I cant wait to try out the "new guy".

The new model FOXPRO's are incredible. I run the CS-24 mid-range and have a Fury for backup or in close quarters calling.

The new digital library of Mark II sounds is unbelievable !!

so many more features, better remote, easier all the way around...

4 hunters I have taken calling here in Wyoming have sold their WT's on Predator Masters and bought a Foxpro !!

Coyote calling is like fishing.... you try different lures till ya find what they are biting on !!

When I first got my WT I had a lot more coyotes responding to it. Since then more people have gotten them and my success has gone down. In certain high pressure areas mouth calls seam to be the only thing that works. I am not familiar with the new models of fox pro.

I own both the MA21 and the new FoxPro Krakatoa. Both have good and well not so good points.
1) On the remote the edge goes to FoxPro
2) On sound quality and volume, Tie
3) On best choice of sounds, edge goes to FoxPro
4) On ease of setup and use, Tie
5) On ease of carry to call sigth, edge goes to MA21
6) On quiet carrying to call sight, edge goes to MA21
7) On battery life on caller, Tie
8) On battery life of remote, edge goes to FoxPro
9) On least light reflection-glare, edge goes to MA21
10) On carrying strap, edge goes to MA21
11) On price, both equal
12) On call and remote with the least problems that need factory repair, edge goes to FoxPro
13) On battery charging access, edge goes to FoxPro

Changes needed or changes made to the units
1) Replaced FoxPro's metal carrying strap to heavy nylon with rubber grip
2) On MA21 put a homemade gasket under battery cover to keep dirt and moisture out of electronics
3) Both units reflect sun light way too much and could benefit a camo soft cover which both reduces glare and quotes the caller when transporting to call site.
4) Remote for MA21 could benefit from bigger view screen and easer to push key pads numbers while wearing gloves.

Do I have a favorite one over the other, no both are very good calls and will improve your overall kill ratio paired with handcalls
