Dear all

I have just fitted some Callahan bottom metal to my Stiller Pred 7 Mag.

It is the type with the Oberdorf release catch.

All looked great but upon firing the rifle it appears the release catch activates and floor plate springs open and spits out any ammo in the mag etc!

This sometimes happens on first firing but sometimes on the second firing.

Has anyone encountered this before with this style of bottom metal?

Does anyone know of a remedy apart from sending it back?

I was thinking a stronger spring (release catch) might remedy the problem.

Any/all ideas and feed back greatly appreciated.

Thanks

JB

If it looks like I think it does, A stronger spring should help, also if you can shorten the
release lever a little it will not have as much weight and inertia will be redeuced.

Just something to try.
