29 days till the 6th Annual OIALFT

000E.jpg

Not that I look forward to this every year. Not that I feel that 51 weeks of the year are spent working and planning for the Annual Kodiak OIALFT. Not that looking at images like

or

or even

make me wonder why I get back on that plane and come back to NY each year.
All I know is that tomorrow I will be one day closer to seeing my friends Art, Martha and Riley and get that much needed shot of peace, quiet and serenity that comes with this trip each year. That coupled with

the tastiest pie on earth as well as fishing till our arms fall off

makes the OIALFT all it can be.

Neil and Joel, of course, dread that week each year as they must do all I do. I think that while am not there they come to realize that it is no easy task. It is the one week each year that I do not log onto a computer and trust them to do what needs to be done.
I'll do a post a couple of days before and remind you to e-mail Neil @ [email protected] and Joel @ [email protected] to see how they're doing as I do not want them to be lonely.

I like the way you trained the fish to say Ah-ptics for the photo. My Swarovski, Lieca and Vortex scopes I ordered from you are all doing great. Thanks for the great prices and work supporting our industry. Just finished an amazing offshore fishing trip down in Louisianna last week. My son's arms hurt for three days he caught so many fish.

I remember that pain from living in Oregon on the Columbia River and fighting to land giant Sturgeon and Steelhead! But I must respectfully disagree in that the best pain know to man, is the pain in your body after dragging a downed deer for a few hundred yards to get him into position to go on my pack mule!! Especially the giants we shoot here in California.....just kidding
