I finally drew unit 60. I have never hunted area could someone help on where to start. I plan on getting there 2 days before the season opener

Just drive around on county or BLM roads in that area very few houses. Sweetwater County road map or BLM office map of area would help you a lot.
Shoud be able to get a nice one in this area.

Probably the best are in the whole state. Here is what I would do. Get on the interstate head 5 -10 miles west of wamsutter and take the Red Desert Exit there is a small porno shot there as a land marker. I work out there and last year I had a buck that was 17"tall easy and another that had horns contouring his head like a water or cape buffalo... lots of big goats out there. stick close to the natural gas fields. antelope like people and you will see way more animals where there is more activity.

not familiar with the area but id recommend one of the MT mapping land ownership chips. I have one for MT and it helped me bag my biggest goat to date last year.

It wont do you any good. The area is 99%public landland

Thats what I was thinking....My dad and a buddy of mine bought left over tags for that area, Im thinking about heading out this weekend maybe and doing some scouting, although it is not really needed, mainly just to see whats around as I drew that next area west and havent been in 60 much, other than for work.

Wamsutter exit and Continental Divide exit I-80. Good grass this year, should mean good antelope. This is BIG country. Long shots--good optics a must. Should still be full water holes in a month. If you are not seeing antelope, remember that five miles is not really that far to them. Look for good grass.
