Put one of these on layaway recently. Any feedback is appreciated! Plan on putting it on my new .264 w/26" #6 barrel. Supposed to be the most powerful Bushnell made. Let me know your opinions................ Thanks!

Best optics for the money!!!.

Only downside is that elevation adjustment is limited so you will need to shim to get out there.

I have used several 6X24 and will be using another with Mil Dots this year. You can get similar glass but I have yet to see anything better. Very good low light performance too.

Jerry,
Thanks for the report! I can build a custom scope base with the elevation factor built in. What angle degree did you use to reach 1k?

I bought a Bushnell Elite 8-32 and sent it back for a Burris Signature 8-32. Why? When I looked thru the Bushnell I found that I had to be very careful with head/eye placement when I looked thru it. You had to have your head/eye position just right or you saw nothing? I don't know if it was just me or not but the Burris is more forgiving to how you position your head/ eye when looking thru it compared to the Bushnell and the Burris is extremely clear and brite. This was most extreme when on 32 power and might not be such an issue with a 6-24. The Burris also has a small range of adjustment, 22min I believe.
JMHO,
Wayne

Thanks for the tip Wayne! I'll check it out when it get here, and if mine does the same thing, it'll be going back.

Hey folks,

is anyone of you guys still using the 8-32x40?
Since this post is from 2004, I would be interested in long term experience with this scope. I would like to buy a used one, hence the question.

Thanks
Chris

I've got one on a Savage 12FV .223...I like it a LOT. Better than my Monarch 5-20x44, which is a great scope itself. I find it is very sharp, even at 32x.

The 8-32 is elevation limited with 26MOA of internal adjustment, but that's nothing Signature Zee rings with inserts or a 20MOA base can't fix. I happen to have 18MOA of up adjustment from 100yd zero using Leupold two-piece bases & Leupold standard rings on a Savage 12FV .223; that's enough to get my 75gr HPBT out to 600yd.

I'm thinking about selling it and the Monarch to get a FFP tactical scope, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of scope...just cash flow.

Great Jap glass....get ready for a long one inch tube body....

24-26 inches of travel at most if I remember....

Clicks work well....but towers really suck....hard to count rev's on the dial

6-24 Tactical 4200 if still out there is a much more usable scope for LR shooting

Sorry for the poor review..........
