What is the difference between the stainless BDL and the stainless sps and the LSS? Just the stock?

BDL and LSS same thing just different stock. SPS much coarser finish not a nice fine finish like the BDL and LSS

BDL used to mean nicer wood finish and a hinged floor plate. I have no idea if all BDL's still have the hinged bottom metal though.?

They all have the hinged bottom metal. SPS has the black parkerized finish.

LSS refers to both the stock and steel, LSS stands for "Laminated stainless steel"
SPS refers to the stock only, it stands for "Special Purpose Synthetic"

That's what I was thinking, seems if I am remembering correctly; BDL's used to have bottom metal/hinged floorplate, and ADL's were blind magazines with no bottom opening.?...............just going off memory, which isn't so good at times

SBruce you are correct about the BDL and ADL designation. My .243 is a BDL with hinged floor plate and my 30-06 is an ADL which has a blind mag.

I will only buy Remington Stainless. I feel the older BDL SS and the LSS are far better than the new SPS SS. Better triggers and nicer finish on the barrels on the BDL SS and LSS's. And the I feel the quality is better on the older ones. The new xpro trigger are junk. Just my opinon.

BDL "Bottom Drop Load" we would unload the gun from the buttom, we don't use the bolt.
ADL "Action Drop Load" we would unload the rifle by activation the bolt, one at a time.
