Now the swede military surplus has dried up, has anyone tried Prvi Partizan PPU 6.5x55 (139gr FMJ)? How dose it compare to others in accuracy and consistency?

I too have used some Prvi brass and it is pretty good. I bought some of their 168 gr .308 bullets to reload that were supposed to be match bullets but they did not shoot like match bullets.

Its a mild load but it is extremely accurate in 96 and 38s. My 38 shoots sub inch groups with open sights at 100 yards using this ammo.

Good to know! Mild rounds are easier on the barrel too. I shoot max 300 yds because of the local range limit, so mild round would be OK

Thanks for the info

Not to mention the brass is top notch. The only thing I have found to be better would be Lapua, and I would call it on par with Norma brass.

I have shot Prvi ammo extensively in 7.5 Swiss, 8x57, 7.62x54R. I have also fired their 6.5 x 55 ammo through a Swede 96/38 Mauser. I was in a hurry (was actually at the range to sight in some other rifles and put three quick rounds downrange just to check that the new Mauser worked)

The group measured approximately 0.7 inches, ctc
