Bondo Bedding?

I have used accraglas, never tried devcon, but I wonder why you can't use good old bondo.

It holds up to temperature extremes, sticks great to plastic stocks, is reasonably inexpensive, sets quickly, but I have never seen it recommended for bedding the action ( should probably be my clue that it won't work ).
Any replies as to why it won't work would be appreciated.

In order to remain on metal through temperature changes it must be flexible, there fore it is compressible and not suited for bedding.

Bedding compounds are by design rigid and brittle with little or no expansion or contraction
because of temperature.

Bedding compounds wont work for auto body repair ether.

Bondo shrinks too much for bedding material. The less a product shrinks the better for bedding a rifle. Sorry to rain on such a lovely parade.

You can't use standard bondo, actually I wouldn't recommend it for anything. You could probably use Evercoat's metal to metal body filler. It is very hard and doesn't shrink/expand and is very hard.
