Wolf Tags available in Idaho

Well Gentlemen, we've waited way too long for this to finally happen. Once again, the Greenies have filed another lawsuit attempting to block the legislation that was passed to remove wolves from the Endangered Species Act. They're claiming it was an unconstitutional bill, as a ruling and lawsuit were pending, and under the Separation of Powers Act, it shouldn't have been passed. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they used their money for wildlife habitat enhancement? Obviously that isn't where their agenda lies. It lies with illiminating hunting, PERIOD! They don't give a **** about the welfare of animals, they hate hunters. I just came back from purchasing my tag. Hopefully will fill it the first day season opens in September. Hopefully Idaho's F&G will allow e-callers this time around and we can fill all of the tags allotted. These LR rifles should be a big help. That was the primary reason I had mine built. Onward we go to save what few elk remain in Idaho. Wyoming, get it together so you can join us!

Glad to hear they opened it up.

This is good it will give my father in law something to shoot when he does his pack trip in northern idaho.

The last 2 elk trips were mainly photo ops for calling in wolves, only saw 1 group of skiterish elk at 500+. Maybe this time his rifle will come out of the scabbard.

I was coming through Coeur d'Alene this weekend and right at the Wolf Lodge there were people pulled over and pointing out in the field and there was a stupid wolf standing out there, somebody is slacking up there. gun)

Don't count on it. I doubt they will ever allow that. Start researching now for other methods to bring them in.
It is a fair possibility. After the last wolf hunt the commissioners were talking about allowing the use of e-callers as a way to shorten the length of time it was taking to fill the quotas as well as a more beneficial way to get wolves in the areas that were doing the most damage to the large game infrastructure. What we might see come out of all of this, when the regulations are finally established, is being able to use them in select areas where they want a larger take count. Right now, it's anyone's guess but I do think that we will see some allowed use of e-calls.
