Hello guys,

I'm considering selling my custom. First I need to know what I can realistically get.

It's a New M70 action (made by FN in SC) in 300WM custom throated to shoot 208gr Hornady A-Max bullets loaded to max oal and still fit in the magazine. So has a Wyatt box.

It's in a McMillan A3-5 Adj stock with adjustable lop and cheek rest. The color is black with a blue and grey fleck throughout.

Action is stainless.

The barrel is a Hart #5 fluted at 24" also in stainless.

It has stainless steel Winchester supergrade swivel studs installed.

All work was done by Hart Rifle Barrels.

It's never been shot.

So what's it worth.

its basically worth what you have into it. keep in mind when people spend the money on a custom they want it how they want it they are spending the extra money so they dont want to comprimise. so with that in mind if you find someone who wants exactly what you have they would be more inclined to buy yours because there is no wait time. if its not exactly what they want they wont want to pay full price, however if its less than what they want costs then the comprimise may be worth it. im guessing the 2000-2500 range? depending on what kind of action work has been done (machine time) you have about 1500 in stock bbl and action it looks like.

Without knowing the weight or how it shoots, I could go $300.

Re: M70 Custom, What's it ---- WEIGH?

I still don't know what it weighs!

I'm not sure why what it weighs would even be important. It's a #5 contour in a large stock A3-5. Not a light one by any means.

I will weigh it when I get home from up north.

Hello All,

I weighed the rifle. With a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20x50AO and rings and bases and a level it weighed 10.8 lbs. So I'm guessing the rifle alone is at about 9.5lbs.

I haven't responded to any pm's as I'm not even sure I want to sell. Just wanting to find out what she might fetch to the right seller.

Definitely not a fire sale by any means. I'm willing take a small loss but not much.

No custom trigger but it was smithed to 3lbs.

So what will she likely bring in?

Thanks

Tom
