Torque wrench

Do I need one??? I plan on mounting the scope myself, would one of these be needed? Thanks in advance

They are not an absolute must, but they are close.

They are not expensive and should be used on every screw on a weapon to prevent over tightening
and damage.

Most come with torque settings or you can do a search on this site and find them.

A good tool to have.

By not having equal pressure on all your ring screws you increase the chances that one will loosen up and your scope will move but you won't know what is causing your accuracy problems until several wasted shots possibly on a great big non-typical buck and after you wound the buck and then shoot up all your ammo trying to finish him off your friend will run his rifle over to you from a hillside 400 yards away and only then will you finish off your trophy.

I was the friend and it is frustrating to witness but yes it can happen and will at the worst possible time.

I hope this helps you decide.

Alright I'll get one, gee thanks now I gotta spend more money:D it'll be well spent though.

Alright which one??? I'm only farmiliar with the FAT wrench.

Thanks
