I spoke with the Tikka/Sako rep at the Shot Show and he said that you can order any caliber that Tikka makes through a dealer.

I called Beretta USA looking for one and talked to a Rep and he told me Beretta is not importing the 6.5x55 anymore. That's just what he said. I have one in the hunter model and wouldn't mind having another.

I specifically asked him about what calibers Beretta imports vs. what tikka/sako makes and he said that even if Beretta doesn't import a specific caliber you can still order them through a dealer. He was clearly from Finland. It might be worthwhile to call Sako directly?

Thanks for the reply guys. I've got an email out to Ozark and plan on faxing Sako. I really wanted a stainless but that hunter is already looking better!

I have a stainless and love it but my local gunshop has a used hunter with a Simmons atec on it. Looks like new I get u the info if u like

Thanks for the reply. So far I have gotten no where!! ..but still in pursuit. If you could get me a name and phone number on that T3 Hunter I'd like to talk with them. I really want a stainless but I'm looking at options as I go and that might me the one.

Ozark was out of them and Amy said "ain't gonna happen" I'm working on a call to Sako and will report what I find out. Also have an e mail out to Epps. Thinking a Canadien store might be able to import.

Well just saw a video on youtube where they were testing the TC Venture in 6.5x55 and it states that it is being released sometime in 2011. Hope this true as I've always wanted a Tikka, have 3 CGs in 6.5x55.

Got a reply from Elwood Epps Canadien store. They can order one in stainless.
10-12 weeks shipping @$900 plus tax and shipping. I assume they are ordering direct from Finland. Doesn't seem like it would take 10-12 weeks if a Canadien distributor had one.

Gave a call on Hankster's tip..Like new T3 Hunter w/scope sold for around $750 several weeks ago (ouch).... Thanks Hanks

No rush on the ordering one so I think I'll keep looking for a better deal for a while.

Big thanks to Wildcat!!

Spotted one for sale and dropped me a line. It's a stainless Hunter walnut stock barely used for $700. I was actually looking at ordering one for @ $1000 total.

More money for glass...

Will be checking the boards for ammo and scope suggestions.
