Hello everyone! Again this year I will be hosting Long Range Shoots in Townsend, Montana. They will be held at the Broadwater Co. Rod and Gun Club , Indian Creek Range. These are just fun shoots at this point and are not competitions. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge. I am an active NRA Certified Instructor and Range Officer and will be there to help where needed along with burning some of my powder too. Come have some fun and meet other shooters with like interests.

We have steel at 200, 300, 400, 500 and 1000 yards. Plus I will have a couple Targets at 700 to 800 ish up by then,,, I hope.

Concrete topped benches or go prone on the berm.

All Shoots will be held 2nd Saturday of each month starting April 9th.
From 10:00 am ~ 1:00 pm.

Ask any questions here if you have em.

Thanks!

Jeff

Thanks for posting this. GPS says you're 353 miles from my driveway. Calendar says I'm off a couple of those weekends. I'll keep working on the logistics, and if the stars are right might see you there.

That would be cool! Since you are comming that far, if you need any local info just ask. There is a camp ground right near by, a short walk to the Missouri river and just at the south tip of Canyon Ferry lake in case you want to make a weekend of it.

I will be sure to be there this year. I am itching to try my new stick. I have a 6.5-06AI that I am playing with. I am limited to medium weight bullets as it is only a 10 twist, but so far, it looks promising. My shooting place has been shut down til mid April, so I will be getting cabin fever pretty bad. I am looking forward to shooting with you and Shane. How did your house turn out? I can't imagine it being too bad, huh? Tom seems to be good people. Can I go thru you for a membership to the range?. If not, let me know who I need to contact. Thanks, Jeff (from BMC)

Can only shoot light bullets? With a 1:10 twist you can shoot 208Amax and 210VLD. The only bullet you might not be able to shoot is the 240SMK

Hey Man!! How are ya. The house is good we are insulating now , drywall next week. Long project, and Tom was only framing with me. So it slowed down when that was done.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Easiest way to get a membership is to stop into "The Bent Willow" (Fly shop) in Townsend. Just ask Jerry and he will set you up with a copy of the SOP's and a key to the range. If you have any trouble let me know and I will get you hooked up.

Thanks Jeff, I will get a hold of him. Sometimes a house is kind of a never ending project isn't it?

Trebark, I started with 120 bal-tips, but I would like to try the 123 A-max. I am also hoping that 7828 will give me the accuracy and velocity that I want. Just starting to try that powder. Starting loads with 4831 gave me 3/4" @ 3200+, so I am thinking it will do better.

Thanks Jeff, I will get a hold of him.

Hey, just wanted to pass on the BRGC banquet is also the 9th of april in the evening. Prime rib dinner and lots of guns , gear , some optics, ammo etc. for raffles and auction.

Be a good way to meet some of the other members. But you do not have to be a member to attend. I am selling tickets if ya need em.
