Anyone from the Las Cruces, NM area?

There is a really nice range 1100M range here.

I AM IN THE LOS LUNAS AREA; ABOUT 2.5 HRS OR SO. YES, IT WOULD BE WORTH THE DRIVE TO SHOOT @ A GOOD RANGE LIKE THAT. OUT HERE IT'S OPEN RANGE BUT A REAL RANGE EVERY NOW & THEN IS NICE

I will be in Las Cruces for several days in late April. Have a coupla questions:

How do you get to the Butterfield Range ? Is it out west of the airport ?

Can visitors use the range ? Does it have open hours or days ? Fees ?

You got it, take the Corralitos exit off of I-10 and go west on the frontage road. The range is free and is first come first served for the shooting positions. It is closed Thursday's from 0800-1500 for maintenance.

It's a decent range with target butts out to 1000 yards. You do have to watch for yahoos that shoot while people are down range posting targets though.
