Looking for some input on filling a gap. What caliber - deer, antelope + coyotes.

Here's what I have:
DE 338rum - 26" #5 barrel w/brake
Center Shot Rifle 300 win 26" #5 barrel
Center Shot Rifle 223 26"#7 barrel

Lookin for something between the 300win and the 223.

Thoughts?

270WSM.
Besides, the 404 parent case IS what the -06 case used to be 50+ yrs ago, Take your RUM as an example.
I love my WSM, and my WSSM's.
Good luck with your choice, its a wonderfull quandry to be in isnt it..:D (deciding whats next).

Don't forget the 260. A couple more gun makers are offering it as a standard caliber again. Brass is available, as well as fairly decent factory loads.

How about a 6.5 x 47 Lapua. It is very powerful for a small cartridges and very accurate with fine
quality brass. Also a great selection of bullets.

Just a though.

I would go with a 6-06, 6x47, 6mm AI. 88 gr varmint/match Bergers for yotes, PD's and 95gr or 105 gr VLD's for deer size game. Will deliver 1000 ft lbs of energy out to 800 yards.... more then enough for a deer.

Thanks for the all suggestions. I had been thinking about the 260 as it sits almost in the middle between the 223 and the 300win. There are several other suggestions that I handnt even thought of. Looks like I have some more homework to do.
