Putting a rig together for a buddy, and trying to get an idea of a decent load to ~600 or so on coyotes. I don't care about pelt damage. I've sewn before and will again.

H-4895 with 155 Lapuas give me 2930 in a 24" Rock 11 1/4"twist.

Under 1/2 MOA to 600 in good conditions, which is as far as I've gone.

175 SMK's, pushin em about 2604, sub MOA to 1k, but carries enough energy to kill a dog well past 600.

Thks. Alf--how well does it kill at ~600?

Shoots good, but it's still a virgin.

The first shot at 500 went in the red ring at 4 o'clock and I couldn't see it, so I shot five more and surrounded it.:D

Then I moved the target back to 600 and shot another five.

Don't remember which shot dropped out, but it's still a 2 5/8" group.

+1 for the 155 scenars.

I run mine a bit slower with varget, about 2850 fps.

They are not bad for fur damage either. At a quarter mile with a well placed frontal facing shot I rarely get exits. Broadsides with bone can open em up a bit though.
