Flextone Echo eR1 Electronic Predator Caller

How does this unit sound. i was thinking about getting one, i can't see spending the for dough for the fox pro or the wildlife tech. unit. I'd be interested to hear what you think about it. thanks.

It just came in today charging it now will try it some tomorrow. The caller looks rugged and well made. I like the way that the remote charges at the same time the caller charges.

I just decided to order one too. I couldn't afford the fox pro and from everything i've read about it the echo sounds pretty good. I ordered it yesterday from wildlife callers, hopefully it will get here soon cause i can't wait.

That is also where I bought mine. I charge it up and it sounds ok just have not had the chance to use it yet. Have plans for tomorrow but not sure what time I will get off work. I like the the overall construction seems to be well built.

Went to the woods today and just played around a bit. The caller sounds good and seems to be loud enough. Never got any response from any coyotes. Hunted out of my friend's deer stand. It did however attrack crows with no problem. Deer season is still in so I will wait until it is over and then try harder. All in all for what little I did use the caller I think it is going to work out.

A couple questions about the unit....Loud enough? Can you download your own MP3's or is it an "exclusive" format? Can you use regular batteries or is it solely dependent on recharge time?

thanks everyone!

Seems to be loud enough it is a exclusive format. Comes with 8 AA nimh batteries that fit into a group pack that recharges with the pack installed inside the unit. Charger is included. You can carry extra batteries with you. The remote has a phone type flat battery. The remote slides into a slot on the unit and charges as the others do. I am still testing mine and I think the caller is not a power hog.

Thank you...Please post up and + or - about this unit as I'm probably returning my current unit for technical problems and looking for a different one under $200. Stinks about the exclusive format...I'm headed to the flextone website now to see if there is a way to add more sounds.

It just came in to my local Cabela's...Hope to get down there next weekend or the weekend after. When hopefully my Forster trimmer has also arrived (backordered).
I've got an Edge MP3 caller I'm using in the meantime but have to return it as the volume is sticking in cold weather. I'll really miss that MP3 format for flexibility...Hopefully Flextone has hardware in the works to allow you to expand the library ourselves.

Hey Mike, how's the caller working out for you so far. I've had mine out several times and like everything about it. Now i just need to call in a dog. I have yet to do that, not sure what the deal is there.
