Like the title says, which do you prefer and why? I understand you get alot of adjustment with the picatinny, but is that all? Thanks
DNZ are zero MOA built in while picatannys can be obtained with 20, 30 and 40 MOA.
You would be wise for LR to use the 20 + MOA picatanny.
you can add an ACI and rail mounted scope level to the picatanny, while you cannot on the DNZ.

I beleive i need about 24MOA to get to a 1000yrds. A viper pst gives me 68 total moa, so why would i need a 20 moa base?[/QUOTE
Scopes and bases rarely work out to put you in the optical center at 34 MOA each way.
Most like a setup with a little more leeway and verstatility

I have a rail type on all, and that way it is easy to switch optics from one to another if you need
