I have been using it for a few years now, especially in my .223 and 6.8 ARs. It seems to be friendly to use, meters out of my Dillon powder measure +/_ 0.1gr.

It seems very clean burning. I don't use solvent on the AR's internals, just wipe of residue's with a dry rag, and oil the parts.

I haven't been loading for speed, but I get great shot to shot consistency.

I even decided to load up the .44 Mag with their 209 black powder substitute behind 200gr cast semi-wadcutters. What a hoot!:D

what is your .223 load,...I'm assuming TAC,...it is not very prevelant in the midwest yet,....then again finding Varget, H4350, H414, R15, R17, R19 and the other go to powders locally is a exercise in futility.

Yes, I use Tac, Big Game, Magnum and I've tinkered with Hunter. I like the ones I've used. Like any powder each one is usually better in one caliber than another. Big Game is great in 22-250 and it's AI version. I like Tac in my 223 AI and Magnum works well in some of my bigger guns. Hunter is very similar to the 4350's and works well in calibers that like 4350. They are very easy to use. They meter like water, burn clean, are relatively temperature tolerant and in the correct caliber produce the higher velocities. They are not always the best choice, but more often than not, you can find one that will work great for you. Good Luck.......

Use Tac by the keg in the 204, 223s and Hunter by the keg in both the 25-06 and 30-06....They sure meter nice through theDillon and Lyman 55!

YES! Have only tried TAC in my 223 AI's as well. Ball powder, so it meters like a dream. As others have indicated, very good speed and not a dirty powder. Very accurate as well - almost produced the "one hole" group from my heavy barrel 223 AI varmint bench Savage that I built 18 months ago.

Missed out on the $10 a pound sale that Red Rock in Miles City had about six weeks ago.

> That hurts. I didn't even know about it.

> 223 varies with the bullets I load. I couldnt tell you the gr of powder, I keep that in my note book. I havn't loaded it in 6mo. The 6.8SPC uses something like 29gr under 110gr.

45ACP & 44 mag with True Blue
223 & 6.8 SPC with X-terminator
223 a little with TAC
270&30-06 with Hunter& Big Game
44 mag with 209 (no jackets or gas checks)

I load some of the 36gr varmit grenades for a buddy, and he puts three of them inside a 1/4 inch at 100yds with the 223 and X-terminator.

Before re-barreling my 22-250 I used X-Terminator w/40grn Barnes Varminators (now discontinued) to the tune of 4230fps, that combo LOVED coyotes:D

I still use Magnum in my 6mm-284 w/107 SMK's, I've read a post here by RockZ that says he's gettin somewhere in the 3400fps area (WOW) IIRC, I'm not pushing mine that hard (yet) but accuracy has been FANTASTIC, I actually managed a 1.75" 3-shot group at 500yds (of course I chickened out after 3!) Ramshot powder does meter fantastically I as stated before, has been very clean in my rifles, I am now experimenting with Hunter in a AR-10 in .243win with the 87grn V-Max accuracy has been decent @ just under moa but velocity hasn't been acceptable by my standards ~2850. I'll play around a little more & see what happens.

A knowledgeable source told me that Magnum is more temp stable or at on par with the Extreme powders. He uses it over any Hodgdon powders in his 6.5x284.

I've had it on the shelf for about 3 years now. Like it very much.

I'm shooting 26.0gr TAC with 52 AMAX. It is very accurate in my Rock River Ar, 3 shots 1/4".
In my 6-284 w/107 SMK's Outlaw is right, I'm getting 3400fps, well actually 3395fps, I just rounded up a bit. I'm shooting Ramshot Magnum in it.
I shot it the other day at 1000yds and hit the 4" steel gong 4 out of 5 times. Then hit it another 3 in a row later.
Then shot a 5 shot group on paper to check vertical. No more than 3" of vertical at 1000yds at the extreme , with most of the shots only about 2".

In my 300win with 208 AMAX, Ramshot Magnum is my go to powder. I even had better results with it than with H1000, which is my other go to powder.

So yes I do use Ramshot Powders. Magnum is my favorite!

The last couple of years, there has been times when the powders were getting hard to find. It seems like a small company still expanding it's powder line. They seem to be expanding their geographical coverage, and at the same time growing in popularity.

The powder is always worth waiting for, or tracking down. It's a bumber when places start rationing how many pounds you can buy at a time.

About a year ago, I heard that powder companies were running 7 days a week 24hrs a day, to catch up to the demand.

I thought about picking up some for my .30-06. Have you guys loaded Big Game or Hunter for this caliber?

Big Game might work better for bullets 150grain and under but 58(work up to it as its a max load!) grains of Hunter works great with the 178 Amax in my 18" Striker(2750fps). It prefers a magnum primer in my chamber?
