PLRF 10 Modification

I have been using the PLRF 10 for several weeks now and it is just incredible. The only drawback was the low magnification sometimes would not allow sure alignment on a distant target like a deer in a brush patch across a canyon. I took a 2x multiplier from Swarovski and built this mount to quick detach from my tripod. I now have enough magnification to confidently place the crosshairs on the animal and it absolutly rocks.

Were you able to physically attach the 2x Swaro to the PLRF? Or is the 2x Swaro just up against the PLRF and both held together by the mount you made? Thanks in advance, Ray

They are held in line by the mount I made, I am actually makeing a camera attachment so I can get photos through it.

It will read 2500-2600 anytime and 2990's in good conditions. This thing rocks.

So where do you pick on of those range finders up at, what is the cost of one of those things? Do they ready actual, or do you have to still figure out angle and all that fun stuff?

Will they range in fog, If you can see the deer at 800 yards in fog will it read? Thanks Joe

They are very expensive around 4k new. They don't read through the fog any better than any other class 1 LRF that I can tell. They do a whole bunch of stuff that I didn't pay any attention to, I just wanted it to range out to 2500 all of the time.

That's a nice set up!! I played with Broz PLRF a little and man what a great tool. I keep thinking about them as I've been plagued by having a hard time getting a dead on range on antelope this week and just under or over shooting them. When I walk over to where the goat was and range back it has told the story every time, it's killing me!!

I think he's using the 85 buck range finder he got from walmart for his sorry golf game

He must be pushing those 270 cal bullets out there a ways!

The PLRF is a must in my future and the rifle that's almost in the mail will still outdistance it by a little bit, maybe

I have a fixture on the order of Shawn's form the Leica 1200 and camera which works well but its machined out of wood.

I picked up a Leica rangemaster 1200, the hard part is knowing that I'm dead on not pinging of the sage brush in front of them or behind them, 40yrds of on my range is a miss on an antelope. I'm only shooting in the 800-1050yrd range but that 40yrds out there is 15-18inches and a goat chest is 15 inches deep. One of these times one will get in a spot that I can get a nailed down range and they will die!
Elk range very well with it but they are better to range and live in way better terrain for ranging, goats and where they live make it hard.
