Who makes Nosler brass

If my experience with 280AI brass in both Nosler and Norma is any indication the answer is NO. The Nosler brass that comes preformed is far superior to fire forming Norma brass out of regular 280 Rem brass - I don't care who makes Nosler brass - I am a very satisfied with it.

Seems like I heard that it was Hornaday that made Nosler brass. If not then it's Winchester. The reason you had trouble fire forming Norma brass is that it's a little thicker and harder than the normal grades of Winchester or Remington brass normally used. I've fire formed a lot of Norma brass without a hitch, but you must use a very stiff load with the case absolutly secured in the chamber. Just jamming the bullet is not good enough

Nosler has different contractors for their Brass based on Cal. I believe Norma was one of them for cal. below 30-06.

New brass is their own manufacture, Norma was predominantly making their brass for them, prior to this Federal was making their first run brass, albeit a short contract.
I have newly made and first run made brass in 300WM here, the first run stuff is identical the FC-10 Federal brass I have here, both in weight and internal profile.
The newer weighs the same as Norma brass I have.

I won't buy it anymore, primer pockets don't hold up in my experience.

Cheers.
