Second kill of the year. PIC

I was hoping to go out and help a guy on here scout for deer this weekend but I had to watch the kid yesterday so today I went out and filled a doe tag. I had a couple muley does spotted on the other end of the field the wind was howling about 30-40 mph so I was hoping to get within 500 yards. Well the farmer blew my stalk so I was walking back to my truck and spotted a couple whitetails behind a grassy ditch bank so I ditched the rifle and grabbed my 460 S&W and made a stalk on them. they all wanted to line up I guess they knew I only had 2 tags and I had 4 of them lined up shoulder to shoulder so I shot the first doe to clear the group. 42 yards. not a long shot but its my second kill this year and also the second kill with my 460 this year. I am having lots of fun with that sucker!

Very cool. Nice shooting. I have never hunted with a pistol. It looks to be much like archery, which I have done a lot of. I think the short revolver would be a lot of fun.

Although the small ones are great eating.....I shot one about that size and my wife (now ex-wife) said to me "why didn't you just tie a rope around its neck and bring it home for a pet?"

Ha ha thanks winmag yeah that's the entry hole. I'm loving this 460. I hate 200 yard shots with a rifle so this makes it more fun if its close I have the 460 long range I still have the 2506 and soon to be 338 lm

I think you will love the tenderness of the young deer meat. Nice stalking. I wish here up in Canada they will let us hunt with a revolver.
