If you could buy a LRF in either a binocular or monocular, that would do all this;

1. Range to 2000yds in broad daylight.
2. Measure barometric pressure, humidity, temp, windspeed, inclination and azimuth.
3. Connect to a computer via USB so you could manipulate the inbuilt ballistic software to exactly fit your rifles external ballistics in the same way loadbase, exbal, JBM etc does.
4. Store upto 10 user selectable and manipulative ballistic profiles to suit 10 different rifles.
5. Point the device at your target and display an elevation and windage correction or any individual pieces of data that you require accurate for your rifle and load.
6. Effective means you have a complete firing solutions device, no other gear required.
7. Had comparable glass quality to swarovski, leica or zeiss, in a shockproof, waterproof chassis.

How much would you pay to upgrade to one of these?

North of 2K, if it really did all that stuff, and was as nice as Swarovski. I would expect that if someone makes one, everyone else will jump on the bandwagon and drive the price down a bit. There is no reason that something like this doesn't exist, and someone is probably working on it right now.

I don't care if it measures wind speed, unless it can do that internally somehow.

Sharpman,
If you already have experience in shooting out to 2000 yards, and have a need for a product like this, I would say you probably already know the basic rules of marksmanship.

Tape a Kestrel 3500 to the top of a set of Zeiss Victory range finding binos and a Garmin Rino 530HCCx to the bottom and you just need to figure out where to put the Ipod with Balistic FTE in it. Cost Zeiss $3000, Kestrel $200.00, Rino #300.00 Ipod $200.00, total $3700.:D:D

Sorry couldn't resist.

I already know all of that!!!LOL!!!!! Where do I buy one????? A dream come true!!!!!

Boss Hoss

For those that can read twixt the lines.....I'm of the opine that there are some folks buying LR gear that don't know EDIT from shineola but due to the younger generations theory of "I've got to have it right now"......they aren't willing to pay the price to get there!!

I don't agree with you one bit. So, you're going to go out there with these things:
Rangefinder
PDA
Wind Meter
Binoculars

Is it somehow more noble to be using a whole bunch of different technology than combining it all together to save some weight, make calculations faster and easier? You must be shooting a musket with open sights and using an abacus for calculating bullet drop- good for you.

I will also require a laser guidance system for my bullets as well. It will also need to steady my rifle for me. Why doesn't anyone make a rocket bullet to flatten trajectory out to 1500 yards, and accelerate the bullet at around 300 yards and 600 yards. Sure it may explode on impact before all propellant is spent, but hey, I bet it would kill good.

I voted 1500+ if it was available, it would be worth the cost.

A toy like this is a must have!!! For most of us on here we are either a a good shooter or like me working on it and this would replace half my junk lol.
