The 6-24x ranges at 12x but after I did the video I was think about, if at 12x the spacing is 1mil then at 24x the spacing would be a 1/2mil, I like this fact. It also keeps the reticle nice and thin. For you log range hunters the 6-24x72mm are a great way to go.

Yes that is generally excepted and expected but not always the case...that's why I asked and worded it as follows: actually seen/observed with the 72?

So can I take it you have actually looked through one? How much better is the low light performance?

How does one quantify that? Each set of eyes are different. Let's just say that the S&B 5X25X56 in exceptional in low light and the 72MM objective Zeiss/Hensholdt is a bit better

In the form of an opinion and that's all I was looking for...from those who have actually spent some time looking through one...Have you and is that your opinion based on looking through one or haven't you? I'm just looking for some opinions from those who have actually looked through one.

I looked through one a short time ago and yes bigger is opticaly better, but the size is a bit outside of my taste

Sweet, that's what I was hoping for, a favorable opinion from someone who's actually looked through it. Hopefully others who have peeked through it and will comment as well. Haven't thought threw it completely...mounting, height etc but, my first impressions of a 72mm objective is WOW!

The 72mm in low light really does help. So for the Dawn and Dusk shots the 72mm will help a lot.

Also the edge to edge clarity and quick target acquisition on all of their scopes is outstanding.

I have the Hensoldt 6-24x72 mounted in a Near Mfg. Alpha ring-mount, which is bolted to a Near Mfg. 45 MOA rail. The rail is bedded to a 30-378 Improved 'smithed by Gordy Gritters. I've spent a lot of time looking through my Hensoldt, and, I can say that for low-light performance it cannot be topped short of going to some form of Night Vision.

It's been a long time since I owned the Zeiss 6-24x72, so I can't say with any certainty which is better in low light. I suspect the two scopes are pretty much the same in that dimension. I believe the Hensoldt has different coatings; at least I recall Nathan explaining the differences between the Zeiss 6-24x72 and the Hensoldt 6-24x72 and that was one of them.

I have been told by a few guys that they see better with their Hendsoldt than their Zeiss Diavari. I have been told this is do to the coating.

I just used mine Hendsoldt this weekend, it has some really, really nice glass. The Hendsoldt also has the fastest target question I have ever used, meaning it is very forging on head placement. I also run S&B, USO, Premier, and Nightforce as may main glass.
