My custom 260 arrived yesterday and I'm excited to share some pics. Barrel break-in starts tomorrow morning!

This rifle will be my go-to stick anytime I want to sit 'here' and shoot 'waaaaaaay over there'. It will find a lot of use for targets, f-class, tactical competition and some deer and ground hog hunting.

Here are the specs:

Action: Blueprinted Remington 700
Caliber: 260Rem
Barrel: 28" fluted Brux modified contour #18, 1:8 twist, .012 freebore to shoot 140grain bullets, Vais muzzle brake and Holland recoil lug
Finish: Kevin at MCR custom mixed duracoat to get the action and barrel color to match the stock. Flutes are black duracoat.
Stock: McMillan A3 (50% brown, 25% black, 25% gray - trebark colors!) with adjustable cheekpiece. Pillar bedded.
Trigger: Jewel trigger tuned to 1.5lbs - it breaks like glass!
Optics: Leupold MK4 6.5-20x50 with M1 turrets and TMR reticle mounted in Burris Signature Rings and bases.

Weight: 13.5lbs unloaded

All work expertly done by Kevin Cram at Montour County Custom Rifles. I highly recommend him to you www.MontourCountyRifles.com He is also an LRH sponsor. His screen name is 'Kevin Cram'

I'll post shooting results soon. In the mean time, here's a few pics of my new stick. Let me know what you think.

Matt,

That is one fine looking rifle. Can't wait to see the bullet holes in the target... or should I say hole! That should be one tight shooting rifle.

Great Build Matt!! Nice work Kevin!!!!

I seen it a couple times thru the build and all I can say is wow!!!

I think it's the ideal set-up, I'm sure it will be accurate! Can't wait to get together again Matt.

Thanks. Kevin sent me pics as the build progressed. Looked naked without the big scope on top.

Man this is the energizer rifle, it keeps going and going. I think you should leave it like this for a while...Looks great and I'm sure it will shoot great. You can shoot mine if you want to get nostalgic.

Great looking rig. Action/barrel versus stock color scheme works well. Nice job for sure.

Very nice. The effort Kevin puts in his work is very easy to see. Taking time to mix colors is going the extra mile. After seeing some of the work on this site makes me try harder to make sure anything I put out is as good as I can do. With his reputation I am sure it will shoot just as good as it looks. Dan
