Can someone help me with a MOA ( 4 clicks for 1" ) drop chart for my 7MM Rem Mag? Here is my info: 3040 FPS, 160 accubond at .531 b/c, 50 degrees and 5000ft. Please use a 300 yard zero and give me 100 yard clicks out to 1000 yards. This should get me real close when I go to shoot. Thanks for your help!!!

I tried to use that card and the numbers just do not look right. Could someone please post them for me? Thanks

No, I agree. 5 clicks (~1.25 MOA) will probably not get you to 900 yards, even with a 300 yard zero. These charts are both in IPHY, so multiply the charted value by 4 for clicks.

Here's JBM.

Thanks Mikecr.....what is IPHY for a scope? Mine is a Zeiss Conquest 4 1/2 x 14 x 50 with ( 1/4 MOA ). It says 68 inches/100 yards = 272 clicks for elevation and 45 inches / 100 yards = 180 clicks for windage. Not sure what the 100 yards thing means?

By the way, I really want to shoot the Berger 168 but it did not do to well at the range with H1000, 7828 and Retumbo when seated to 3.450 ( approx. .050 off the rifling ). My gun is a new Weatherby Vanguard sub-moa 7Mm Rem Mag. The best that i could get with any of them was around 1 1/2".......terrible. My 300 Weatherby is .40 moa with 168 TTSX at 3300 FPS and running just short of standard COAL. I am going to take the 168's back to around 3.350 and some at standard 3.290. I think these Weatherbys' like them shorter with all the free-bore???????? PS.....I did use different powder charges all the way up to max with each powder. The 160 accubonds with 66 grains fo H1000 at 3.360 shot around 1" and 3064 FPS. I also think the accubonds will do a little beit better pulled in??????? what do you guys think????????

IPHY = Inches Per Hundred Yards.

If your clicks move the reticle 0.25" at 100 yards, it's got IPHY turrets. A 1/4 MOA click is slightly more (0.26175" at 100 yards). Unfortunately some scope literature says or implies that 1 MOA = 1 inch at 100 yard and confuses the issue. Close-in, the difference between MOA and IPHY doesn't really matter. But the 0.01175" difference per click per 100 yards difference can add up.

68" x 1/4" =272"
The Zeiss website states that your scope is Inches Per Hundred Yards(IPHY):
Welcome to Carl Zeiss Optical, Inc.
It is a significant difference. You might notice my drop card shows 71clicks for 900yds -vs- 67clicks(if it had been MOA). That's 4clicks you would have been off, or 1 inch per 100yds x 9, = 9" Atleast.

Why are you shooting so far?
You know, there is more to distant shooting than buying a gun and pointing out yonder..

In my opinion, the VLD's like to be real close on the lands and go fast. I found the sweet spot at .005 off the lands for my 700.

I borrowed Kiwi3006's load and I'm in the process of tweaking it now. Win brass
Fed 215m primer
73 gr H1000

I'm sitting at .5 MOA now, working to see if I can shrink it. Good luck.
