Just purchased it for $320.

Sorry for the quality and size of the pix but here's my initial/visual evaluation.

Side by side comparison with Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 1" tube.

Mounted (Burris base and Signature rings) on Savage 111F in .300WM for the test evaluation.

Here's some info:

· FOV @ 100 yards: 17' @ 6.5X, 4.5' @ 25X
· Weight: 28.9 oz
· Length: 16.3"
· Eye relief: 3.9" @ 6.5X, 3.4" @ 25X - excellent eye relief for my eyesight
· Exit pupil: 6.8mm @ 6.5X, 1.8mm @ 25X
· Adj adjustment @ 100 yds: 60"
· Locking tactical turret knobs (resettable to 0) - nice clicks and very positive feel
· True 30mm tube (throughout) - seems robust and strongly built, strong enough to
be used as a baton
:D
· Locking fast focus ocular
· Engraved Mil-Dot reticle (red and blue illuminated, 11 settings) - very nice feature,
unfortunately, it is not allowed here in MT

· 45 degree Offset Illuminator switch - nice ergonomic position
· Mid-sized parallax wheel (down to 10 yds)
· Fully Multi-coated optics - very clear
· Precision 1/8 M.O.A. adjustments
· Reticle placed in the second focal plane
· Built-in anti-canting bubble system - nice feature but hard to see IMHO
· 4" sunshade included
· Caps included - worst part of the package, a bit cheesy.
· 100% waterproof, fogproof, shockproof
· Lifetime replacement (not repair) warranty - very nice to have.

Thus far I am very pleased with the initial/visual inspection. Hope to add more test results/pix as soon as I get the opportunity.

Thanks.

Ed,

Timely post.

Great details + your pics are good.

Awaiting your report on repeatability and movement for each click.

1/8" clicks are a bit small (too many clicks/inch) for a hunting rifle. But.......

Is the reticle a standard 5 mil dots down type?

I burned my wallet out on a Nightforce and will be looking for something like the Konus for a project I'm working on.

Thanks

Roy

I have the same scope on my 300 wsm. I am very happy with it
I used it to take my bear This spring. Pics are posted under the bear hunting.

You will love it great choice

I'm not sure what the standard is but 4 dots are evenly spaced on the 4 lines of a crosshair and is 1 mil apart from each other.

I will say this now though, this is definitely not an NF but I would also say that it definitely deserves consideration for those LRH under budget restraint. It just bothers me when I try to do a search and someone commented "don't bother and waste your money" but offers no explanation.

Thus far, it has met my expectations on clarity and magnification.

Hope to do an unbiased evaluation to share as soon as I can squeeze the time. Thanks.

Congrats on your beautiful bear. It's always nice to hear others' experiences afield but more importantly their successes.

Please feel free to chime in any experiences you may haven on the scope for other fellow hunters to consider.

Thanks.
