I just got my self a Custom rife in 6.5X47 Lapua, and I could not believe the accuracy of this rifle caliber. Its a very expensive rifle but its worth it every cent. lol...I almost got divorce, my wife get's jealous of this rifle. :D I'm writing this threat to tell you guys that there is no accuracy better than this, and Im so excited that I wanted to tell you guys. You have not idea what you guys are missing.
I have a cheap scope for now, but I'm saving to get my self a nightforce later this month. And in the future a suppressor to make a good tactical rifle.

Not bad for 100 yards, I been also shooting Rabbits up to 500 yds. Its a very accurate.

What powder are you using? Do yourself a favor and try Reloader 17, I can get over 3100 fps. with 123 AMAX from a 25" barrel.

I use Redding Neck bushing die set, Match S Type .

For my match 6.5 X 47 Lapua I use the same body die and neck die, but use a Wilson seater to seat the bullets, I use the Redding Competition seater for my hunting 6.5 x 47 Lapua.

Great looking rig with excellent accuracy.

If the rifle almost got you a divorce, What do you think might happen when you top it with an NF doesn't?:) Better have a plan.

I'm in the process of getting divorced. My next custom rifle is about to be completed. I figure a new rifle would be good "therapy"

6.5x47lapua would have almost no recoil in that rifle. Let your wife shoot it. She might take it from you. Then you'd have to build one for yourself.

Oh, thank you, You gave me an Idea, Since our marriage anniversary is coming next month, I will have to give her something very special, and I will bring up the Night Force scope after her suprise. I hope that works. I also have to start thinking of another idea, because I also want to get a suppressor. I don't which one yet, I need to search online. Does anybody knows a good suppressor for 6.5X47 Lapua..?

It also came with a threated barrel, nice..

Hey buddy, you got things wrong. I'm not getting divorce, not yet. I hope. If you get this caliber for your next rifle, you going to love it. I know I am. Yes, this a wonderful therapy when you go out to the range or shooting Rabbits and showing off your accuracy with this rifle. lol... Maybe you are right. I should make my wife shoot with it. and maybe she would change her mind and enjoy time going shooting with me.

Sorry...poor shot at humor. I did not mean to imply that you were getting divorced. I on the other hand, am getting divorced. So while going through the process, I've started a custom build similar to yours. Mine will be a 260Rem.

If you have a bride that will tolerate the time it takes to be a good shooter, you've done well. If she's willing to get out and shoot with you that's a big ++

Lot of things about my soon-to-be-ex-wife I didn't like, but she sure tolerated all the time I spend shooting and hunting. So at least I got that part right!

Trebark, sorry to hear about the divorce. I was close to one many many years ago but, never divorced. My son went through one got custody of both his kids but, the process was expensive and sucks. Hang in there and on the otherhand take some enjoyment etc in the build process.

Now let get this right..you have been shooting rabbits @500 yards, were they head shots?

Real sweet. Dang nice! love it!
