Picked it up tonite from the FFL. Need to sell it to pay for surgery on my dog " BLUE " who fractured his tibia last Thursday. Swelling has gone down to the point where they recommend surgury due to the location of the break.
Anyway, about the pistol.

-Savage Target Action rt bolt rt port, trued
-Bolt head and firing pin change to magnum
-target accu trigger
-Brux 8.8 twist 7mm 18" long #4 contour with 3 port muscle break, top port added.
-McCree's new dedicated pistol stock, with adj rear grip. Very first one coated on the line.
-Forrester dies with Ultramicrometer seater
-100 pcs of Remington brass. Started neck turning 20 pcs.
-Weight #8.1
-Bipod not included

Chambered to shoot the 168gr Berger's
Expected velocity will be 2700-2750 fps yielding over 1500# @ 700 yards.

Total invested over $2,000.00 plus a 5 month build time.

Will sell total package for $1,600.00, plus shipping

Ran some pressure testing this morning. Did not mount a scope, so no groups.
64.5 gr Retumbo with 168gr Bergers jammed 0.005 yielded
2756 fps with no pressure signs. 65 gr started to get a slight stiffness in bolt lift.
Only needed to shoot 3 rounds to find my max pressure load.

In review, going with 64.5 gr Retumbo w/ 168gr Berger will get you 2750fps.
Solid elk killing rig to 700 yards with 1500# of energy.

64gr Retumbo had a extreme spread of 7 fps.
Doesn't get much better than that.

5 shot group shot yesterday w/ 168gr Berger's and 64gr of Retumbo.
Round count now at 12
Barrel has shown absolutely no copper fouling during barrel break in.
If someone is looking for a hunting pistol you won't find a better deal than this.

Wow, 12 rounds and it's shooting great, load development is all but done!

I can't berlieve someone hasen't jumped on this firearm.

Jim, If you don't have that pistol sold by Tuesday give me a call, I'll take it off your hands for $1600 and keep it in the shop for a few months as a display. If you find the means to buy it back at the same price, great. If not I will sell it in the store or keep it for myself.

Pretty is as pretty does and that thing is beautiful.
