I was up with my Daughter at 4:00am this past Sunday, and the temp was 17F. By 1:00pm is was 70F, sunny, and calm. Shot for about 4 hours, the wind never gusted over 5mph. It was as perfect as a day gets in Nebraska. Only shot a couple of new pups, all the rest I shot were adults. The pups should be out in a couple more weeks. The pic is of a retro Colt Delta HBAR that I just completed. This dog was shot at 198 yards. I had a radio with me so I could listen to the tournament games. It was an awesome day.

Nice shooting and nice rig. 17 to 70, quiet the temperature swing. Hey what do yall use for shade out there when it's in the 90's:), I guess there's not too much need for a brush gun out there.

Thanks, normally the weather is crazy, this year our winter has been downright rediculous to predict. The half section I was hunting has 4 trees on it. No shortage of long shot opportunities:)

congrats! good to know they are out and about already. we have a spot by north loup....may have to see what the weather is like saturday.

I'm coming to Lincoln in June. Can you suggest a place to hunt P-dogs?

Unfortunately, not too many dogs around Lincoln area. Most I know of are several hours west or north. Maybe some of the other Nebraskans will chime in w/ more info...

How long/when in June will you be here?

How cool is it that you took your Daughter out with you.
Thats awesome.
My "Princess" wanted to go Coyote hunting last deer season but her Mommy didnt like the camp we were going to have to stay at - I couldnt argue since I hadne met these folks yet and she was kinda right I think.

Sweet rifle, always loved the Delat Hbar, kind of a legend for it's time ya know?

What a sweet spot to shoot too - bet you have lots of good hours to look back on in the future.
