Just when I thought that our politicians could not get any worse THEY DID!

Today MICHAEL J. PANTER a (D)

Proposed changing the Fish,Game and Wildlife council ti the Fish and Wildlife council.
For at least 50 years the council has been comprised of 11 members:
3 Farmers;

6 Sportsmen ( New Jersey State Federation of Sportsman's Clubs );

1 of such members shall be a person knowledgeable in land use management and soil conservation practices.

Of the Farmers and Sportsmen they are 1/3 Northern 1/3 Central & 1/3 Southern NJ

The proposal is that the Governor picks 7 ( politically connected cronies )!

NO FARMERS are specified!
NO SPORTSMEN are specified!

This is the Governor that stopped the BEAR hunt!

While I don't really want somebody to get killed, before THIS Governor took over the Fish & Game Council had a letter on their website that said there were so many Bear/Human interactions that it would be irresponsible to not hunt the bears!! Governor VETOED that hunt and the letter disappeared off of the website!

Perhaps we are hunting the wrong prey!!

Nice sentiments, but judging from what I saw living out in CT for many years, it just isn't working. You couldn't even put on a limited bear hunt in NJ. The government got lots of heat, and embarrassed, so now they will avoid the whole issue by stacking the deck against hunters from the start.

Good news. Just today I heard that Governor Christie is turning the power back over to F&G, AND there will be another bear hunt slotted for next year. We need the bear hunt again.
By the way, NJ will always suck. LOL!

The F&G council will actually be able to do its job again, now that is has the decision-making power again. More power to the council, may the power reside where it belongs lol.

It's not a guarantee yet, but there is a large posibility that NJ may re-institute the bear hunt as a management tool.

New Jersey Suked before you posted this.. Many of the people(most)are disrespectful and there leaders are a joke.

The guy was asking for his *** kicking, the guy started running his mouth and pulled a knife
and mike broke his arm and I think his leg was broke at the knee..well,,, he messed with an
ex ARMY RANGER.
I respect him and he knows my flag is bigger and is higher(we joke about this).

Mike handed him a card and asked him if he would like to talk to this guy?

He was on security duty for Reagan and Bush also Clinton and Gore.
Retired after his Humvee hit an IED he lost his hearing on his left side the driver was killed and the guy on the rt side lost his leg and mike was on the M1 and was blown out the hatch.
He was a mess after that..you don't come up to him and wrap your arm around him he still has bad days. The first thing he did when he got back to the states was stop in to meet the drivers family and to stay with the other guy in the Humvee.

But New Jersey still sucks!

So, you are bitter about the people in NJ because your friend had an issue? Nothing was personally done to you, yet you bash NJ? Get over yourself and grow up. Until you have a legitimate beef, shut up!
