I am contemplating packing my 300 WM this fall while chasing elk and it's rather heavy. Is there a better alternative to the conventional single sling? I've seen dual sling setups in pictures but can't seem to find any info on them.

Thanks.

It looked so good that I just ordered one. I'll have another rifle coming shortly that will need a sling, although it should shoot far enough that I shouldn't have to walk far from the truck. Right Kirby? :D

My first thought was down hill :D but seriously those are nice looking slings, I've been kinda contemplating what to do also and that looks like a good choice.
I think one would have a hard time beating a Eberlestock pack, I got a Badlands and it's not bad but I tryed a co-workers Eberlestock out and with a rifle it is just plane awsome.

I have very limited experience with packs, but I really like my J107. When I take it off I am amazed at how much weight is in the pack. It doesn't feel that heavy when I'm wearing it!

LOL! That is too funny!

:D

I was out visiting him to try and decide which rifle I wanted him to build, so we went and shot a few different ones. After I decided on what rifle, I asked him how far I could hunt with it. He said "Well, after seeing you shoot, basically, if you can see it, you can kill it." :D

So, after I get some trigger time behind it, I'll start looking for varmints WAAAYYY out there!
