scope for 7rem mag.Please help

Hello all, I'm looking to get an scope for my 7 rem mag sendero,But need some input I will be shooting from 100yds to 600 in the feild and out to 900 or 1000 yds at the farm.I realy like fixed power scopes but not sure what to get???.I have been looking at the super sniper ss10+42m with a 30mm tube.Would this scope WORK for me??.I have close to 2,500 dollors in to my rifle and dont have much money left so i have to stay under 600 dollors. All input would be grate.And thank you all!!

Adam,

A fixed 10 power will do in a pinch, however there are times it has its limitations.
10 power in the field makes it a little tough to find a critter that is sneaking by at 50 yards, likewise it leaves a little to be desired when you're really trying for precise reticle placement at 1000 yards.

Personally I think a variable gives you the better all around option for a 100 to 1000 yard scope. There are a bunch out there that will do everything you need and still come in under your $600 budget. Look at the Nikon Monarchs, Clearidge Ultra XP5, Bushnell 4200 or 6500, Falcon Menace, Vortex, used Leupolds, Burris Signatures, the list goes on and on. Just narrow down what exactly you want/need from your scope and go from there.

As winmagnum mentioned, a used Leupold could be had for under $600. I would think a VX III 4.5-14 with turrets and adjustable objective focus would be hard to beat with the large range of yardages you mentioned. Best of luck with your new toy!

I have an extra Nikon Monarch 4x16x42 for $329 shipped to you. It is factory sealed new in the box. To get better glass you would have to step up to Zeiss/Swarovski. For the money Nikon's top of the line Monarch series is as good as it gets. That why I use them.

I have the same and it does a good job for me.
