Which Kestral should I get & why?

I am thinking of getting a Kestral. Kestrel Wind Meters Factory Authorized Store

How are their prices? Any place cheeper?

Which one do I need for long range hunting out west. I do not want to buy one that has a lot of features I won't use. I'd like to save some money to get an iPod to put the "Bulletflight 2.0.0" program in. Can I put the info I get on the Kestral & laser rangefinder into the iPod to calculate my "clicks"? Does a 3 meg iPod have enough memory or do I need one with more memory?

I'll be of no help to you regarding the iPod questions.....

However, on the Kestrel, my recommendation would be to buy the Kestrel that meets all the input requirements of your ballistic software, nothing more and nothing less.

I use Patagonia Loadbase 3.0 Mobile on a Dell Axim X3, and the Kestrel 3500NV answers all the questions posed by that program.

Now if only I could shoot as good as the software ballistic solution

Kestrel 3500 NV , It is very user friendly and has all the options you need for real time data. If I remeber correctly I got mine at Ambientweather.com for a reasonable price.

OK, now what iPod Touch should I get? Will the cheepest one be ok or should I get the most expensive one. I think they go from $199 on up new.

I use the 3 gig I-pod touch with my Kestrel 3500 and rangefinder......works great .gun)

Make sure the iPod touch u get can run that program I just put it on mine,well tried I found I had the 1st gen iPod so I had to buy iso3 before it would work but if u get it frm a shop it'll more likely be gen 3 and you shouldn't have a problem I just got a 3500nv And it'll do everthing that program asks

This is the place to get one, make sure to apply the code and save big time. Just got my 3500NV a few weeks ago and am extremely impressed, it smokes the other meter I had. Len sells the 3500 in the LRH store if you don't want the NV, I had to have it because I can't stand having a bright yellow anything.

Jimbo pardon my ignorance, but I have a gen 1 touch, but have no idea what iso3 is. Can you explain

all it is is the operating system itll say this program needs 3.0 or higher to run my ipod only went to 1.5.something so i had to update to iso3
