Looking for something more powerful than a 243 but not as devestating as my 7mag to use on deer. I would like a new unfired barrel to fit what I would call remington sporter contour (looks slightly wider than savages sporter contour) Please let me know what you have

You dont need a specific la or sa barrel, just bore, then you have it put on the action they can re-chamber it into whatever round you want. If you want stick with the 308 bolt face and want something a little more potent than 243 you might wanna check out a 260 or a 7-08. keep the same bolt, and re-use your 243 brass... Then you are either looking for any 6.5mm or 7mm barrel... just my opinion...

Right I know that. I asked for SA only because I didnt want any long action calibers being thrown in the mix.

I have a 7mm-08 barrel, 22" long, SS fluted, it's from a LVSF rifle, has about 300 rounds through it, it shot 150 gr. matchkings into 1/2" at 100 yards. It was the wife's rifle but used the action for my, I mean our 6BRX rifle.

I'll take $100.00 plus shipping.

I have a Hart # 5 contour 18" chambered in 284 threaded for a remington action. Dont let the barrel length scare you it shot well and had great velocity. Nice to carry around just like the model 7 but has more punch than the 7-08. Price $150.00 including shipping in lower 48.

Wow so many barrels. I am trying to figure out if it is worth the $$$ to pay a gunsmith to switch the barrels. I have 2 savages that I can do barrel switching on but they are both long actions and for some reason I get weird about using short action calibers in long action rifles. PLEASE don;t ask why I have no idea myself.

I have a 20" SS fluted Lilja barrel in 7mm-08 that is threaded for a Borden Alpine action if anyone is interested, the barrel is in like new condition, only 20 shots fired through barrel. I'll take $200.00 for this shipped CONUS.
