Hi everyone, does anyone know what thread is used on Weatherby Mk5 barrel's. The rifle is a std Lightweight Synthetic in .270winchester, do any other rifle makes share the same thread ie- can a Tikka (or other) barrel screw into my action? Any help appreciated thanks.

The Weatherby MK5 uses a 1.062 Dia x 16 TPI thread and tenon length is .701.

Remington uses the same threads but tenon length is different.

As far as I know there is nothing that can be used to replace the Weatherby barrel
without Lot's of work buy a smith.

If you have a good barrel and it has about 3+ inches of straight breach it can be set back
threaded to fit the MK5 and rechamberd.
