what is your favorite long range caliber

Completely depends on the situation.

If I had to choose one for all situations I'd grab my 338Edge(13lbs), if I needed an extreme long range hammer I'd grab my 338Allen Magnum (18lbs), if I had to carry it all day long, I'd grab my 7mm Rem Mag (8lbs)

I don't have a single favorite, I have 3 favorites. Funny thing is, my longest biggame kill (around 800yds) is with the 7mm.

Guys I'm shooting a Rem 700 BLD with a 28" Douglas barrel in 7mm STW 1in9 twist. I would like to shoot Bergers 180's hunting bullet. I can not find any load data reguarding this cartridge. Any input would be great. Thanks.

I believe Retumbo has been the most successful powder for heavy bullets in the 7STW.

Retumbo 77gr/Berger 180gr VLD is a very accurate load in my APS 7STW.

I would have to choose my 300 WSM shooting 200grn or 210grn bullets. It will kill anything I want it to and more. Efficient, fast, and lots of snot to get the job done.

Thanks Lewis H. Is that a load you came up with or is it from a manual? How is the seating depth on you 7 STW with Berger 180's? Primer?
